The Grrrls DJ Crew, consisting of 13 performers, was founded in 2017 due to the underrepresentation of female DJs in the (Graz) club scene and sees itself as an active contribution to equality in practice.
The Grrrls DJ Crew sees itself as an open collective and actively promotes young talent for FINTA* aged 16 and over. In the summer of 2018, the first DJ workshop for interested parties was held. Due to high demand, the "DJ FORUM" was founded following the first workshop, a format that not only offers the opportunity to practise, but also to exchange ideas and network in order to facilitate entry into the DJ business. In 2025, the Grrrls*Club event series will also be established as a platform for the DJ crew.
